Open discussion group. A silenced victim/survivor stands unprepared, yet likely to experience a lifetime of poor mental health. Black women no longer need to remain silent.

The CIRCLE fosters a space for victims/survivors to be liberated from silence. The CIRCLE respectfull captures and validates the experiences of women of color from a cultural lens.

The CIRCLE welcomes cultural expression. The CIRCLE promotes healing. The CIRCLE is community. The CIRCLE is Sistahhood of cultural belonging and understanding.

Sexual Violence is

A sexual act committed against someone without their freely given consent. Acts of sexual violence include but are not limited to: sexual exploitation, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape. Reference: UJima The National Center Against Violence on Women In the Black Community

Domestic Violence is

A pattern of abusive and coercive behaviors, including physical, sexual and psychological attacks, as well as economic coercion, that adults or adolescents use against their intimate partners. Domestic violence is not an isolated, individual event, but rather a pattern of multiple tactics and repeated events. Unlike stranger-to-stranger violence, domestic violence assaults are repeated against the same victim by the same perpetrator.
